Welcome to the Clubhouse
At DivotPivot, we believe that the best way to experience a golf club isn’t by following a GPS; it’s sharing an experience with a member who knows when to take the tight line and who knows the locker room stories.
DivotPivot connects golf club members while respecting the traditions and revenue models of the clubs we call home.
Whether you are looking to share your home course or discover a new one, the FAQs below should help you navigate our community with ease.

How it Works
-
Simple and secure sign up process! Verify your email address, choose your subscription & complete your profile.
-
Explore golf courses across the island of Ireland. Choose a course to find out more and find available hosts.
-
Find potential playing partners using the available search filters, send connection requests, and once accepted, use the chat feature to arrange to play a round!
-
DivotPivot is currently open to registered golf club members in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Connect with fellow members and arrange to play well-known links and parkland courses, while discovering lesser-known gems.
-
As a member of the DivotPivot community, you can be hosted by members at available courses, or you can host connections at your club. It’s that easy!
Host FAQs
-
There are many reasons why a Divot Pivot member might want to host another member at their club, including;
1. Expanding your network, to increase your playing partner options and/or your professional network.
2. Showcase your home club, offer the "local line" on a tricky par 4, and ensure the guest enjoys the club’s culture.
3. Grow your DivotPivot platform status. Communities are built on give & take. The more a member hosts others, the more likely they are to have their requests to be hosted elsewhere accepted. -
You’re in full control. Review and accept connection requests at your discretion, discuss and arrange to play using the platform chat feature, and outline any conditions for your guests.
-
No. DivotPivot is a community, not a marketplace for profit. Our Community Guidelines strictly prohibit charging guests a markup. This is about hospitality and "paying it forward".
-
Clear communication is key! As a host, share course insights, club etiquette, and any helpful tips to make your guest feel welcome. As a guest, respect club rules and show appreciation. Our platform makes coordination seamless for an enjoyable round.
-
Life happens! If you can’t host, notify your guest as soon as possible via the platform. If you can, try to arrange an alternative time to host at your club, so that you can honour the original plans.
-
The general best practice is to pay the club directly at the Pro Shop upon arrival. This ensures transparency and supports the host club’s revenue directly. Ocassionally a club insists that guest green fees be paid through the member’s account. In this case, you should pay the host directly before playing.
-
You aren’t just playing the course; you’re playing the club. Having a member share local knowledge, course strategy, clubhouse traditions, and what’s good on the lunch menu provides a far more authentic and enjoyable experience than a solo visitor round ever could.
-
Our community is growing, and course coverage is expanding accordingly.
Where users have expressed interest in particular golf clubs, we will do our utmost to ensure that we have members on board from those clubs.
Members will be updated on the development of the community in accordance with their preferences.
In the meantime, explore other courses or consider hosting a fellow member for a round. -
The simple things go a long way!
Arrive early, or at least with ample time to pay your green fee and have a few putts before teeing off!
Agree with your playing partner which tees you’ll be playing off (Championship tees are often not in play for guests), and if you’ll be playing ready golf, etc.
Pace of play is important. Determine your yardage, pull the club, take a practice swing, and pull the trigger!
Be conscious of where you’re standing around the greens and tee boxes when your partners are taking their shots. Always repair your divots, pitch marks, and rake the bunkers.
Communicate with your playing partners. Let them know in advance if you’re unable to go into the clubhouse for a coffee or lunch, and thank them for hosting.
Guest FAQs
Club FAQs
-
We intentionally do not cater for group bookings. DivotPivot is for individual connections (1-on-1 or small pairings). Those looking for group bookings should book directly with the club or through a specialist golf tour operator.
-
Not at all. Clubs maintain total control over their guest rates and tee-time availability. DivotPivot guests pay the standard guest rate, often driving additional ancillary spend in the Pro Shop and 19th hole.
-
We respect all club-specific bylaws. Members are expected to adhere to their club’s annual guest caps and specific tee-time blocks available for hosting guests.
-
DivotPivot members are encouraged to submit ratings and feedback on aspects of their experience, including course, clubhouse, and general facilities.
We are exploring ways to share this with golf clubs in a useful way, but will only do so once there is sufficient data so that it can be anonymised.
-
DivotPivot is designed to complement club operations, encouraging diversity in guest hosting and, in doing so, making golf more social again.
We drive high-value, respectful individuals to your fairways who are escorted by your own trusted members. We do not participate in "discount culture"—we celebrate the premium experience of club golf.
